Creating a world where youth shape the future, Youth Health Africa catalyzes positive change by equipping young people with skills and knowledge that enable them to actively contribute to supporting their communities. YHA aims to create a sustainable environment for the youth employment program by ensuring that the experience gained by young individuals aligns with the demands of the market and the needs of the public health sector. YHA’s youth employment program goes beyond the traditional employment model by fostering a sense of ownership among all stakeholders, including the youth, to ensure that the program adapts to changing societal demands and enhances our youth's potential and contribution to their communities. Over the last three years, Youth Health Africa has collaborated with South African government entities and national and international non-profit organizations to address the issue of youth unemployment and strengthen the public health sector. Through our youth employment and demand creation initiatives, we have been able to employ over 5,100 young people in 700 communities across South Africa. Through our targeted programs, we create an enabling environment where young people access meaningful employment opportunities that lead to improved livelihoods for themselves and their communities.
