Girls and Women Empowerment Network (GWEN)

The initiatives have made a significant impact on the lives of young women and girls. Through training and support, 800 young women have been empowered with skills for detergent-making projects that continue to thrive today. Additionally, sanitary wear has been mobilized and distributed to vulnerable adolescent girls and young women in Seke, Mhondoro, Eastview, and Chitungwiza, addressing a critical need. Safe spaces for learning and engagement have been created in Seke and Chitungwiza, using sport as a medium to address various issues affecting adolescent girls and young women. This initiative includes an annual sports tournament that has been held consistently since 2017.
